Yeah: you don't need much money at all to live well in SE Asia. Done properly, you can eat for less than $10US per day, public transit is pennies and if you don't mind sharing bathrooms and sleeping in dorms, accomodations are $2/night.

Awesome photos - looks like a great trip. If I was loaded financially, I could see going over that way for quite a while.
